FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our goal is to make the floor removal process as easy as possible. To that end, we've assembled some of the questions we receive most often. If you have a question that doesn't appear, please feel free to call or text us any time.
Common Questions We Receive
What types of payment do you accept?
We utilize Square, so any major credit or debit card is accepted along with all major wallets (Apple, Google, Samsung) and Cash App. We also accept checks and cash as well.
What options are there for baseboards?
Depending on the floor material, baseboards can either be left in place, removed and retained, or removed and disposed of. There is an additional fee for baseboard removal and will be discussed during your estimate.
Quarter-round always requires removal and is disposed of.
Do you have insurance?
We carry General Business Insurance and Commercial Vehicle Insurance, and a copy of our Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.
Do you charge a 'truck fee'?
All of our costs are built into the per square foot price for each material. There are no truck fees at
Floor No More.
What happens to my old flooring material once it's hauled away?
Different flooring material debris ends up in different places, with carpet, LVP, laminate, and glued hardwood finding it's home at the dump. Tile flooring is brought to a recycling facility and turned into new building materials.
Will I need to replace my air conditioning filter?
We turn off all ventilation and air conditioning prior to starting our Floor Removal, and tape off any vents or intakes that might be affected. Still, a significant amount of dust will be swirling around upon completion and we do recommend monitoring your filters and replacing the main AC filter about a week after we finish our work.
How loud is the process?
Proper ear, eye, and respiration equipment is required during every stage of the Floor Removal process. The demolition jackhammers create 100-120 dB, somewhere between a Subway Train and a Jet taking off. That level is well outside of a safe environment for people or pets.
Can you complete my project on weekends?
Our typical windows are M-F between 8am and 6pm, mostly due to the noise and dust that Floor Removal creates. If weekends are the only possibility then of course we can make that work. The only constraint being that there are only 2 days in a weekend and depending on the size of the job we may not estimate completion in that short amount of time.
Will my slab be perfectly flat and smooth once you're done?
Concrete slabs are very fickle, and no two removals look the same. Improper curing, previous patches, and water damage can create unseen pockets in the slab that are only visible once removal is complete. We do our best to leave a flat, even surface behind for the next floor to be installed, but inevitably there are some imperfections left behind once we're done. Depending on the replacement floor we can discuss your expectations and make sure the final product makes sense.
Do I have to completely empty the space where the floor will be removed?
Absolutely, 100%, yes please....and also not at all.

We prefer a fully empty environment to work in but understand that some removals occur in spaces where that's just not possible. We ask that all small items that can be removed are, and we cover everything else with plastic to ensure dust protection. We're not movers, but we plan for some furniture/appliance tetris on every removal.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer Military Discounts of 10%.
We do not require verification, although that would be a really awful way to save 10%.
Can I just remove the floor myself?
No matter the size or material, all floor removal requires Specialized Demolition Equipment, Personal Protection Equipment, and Debris Hauling and Disposal.
It is certainly plausible to tackle certain removals as DIY projects, but after adding up the cost of equipment, disposal, and the time it takes usually doesn't make sense for most folks.
